George Zimmerman at his most recent bond hearing.
Aside from lying about his finances, then filing a motion to get rid of the judge who caught him in that lie and said mean things to him, there hasn't been much big news about George Zimmerman lately. That all changed today, as the prosecutors who charged him with murdering Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in February have released another trove of evidence, stuff which though it may never be admissible in court, it should perhaps open a brand-new investigation of him, one that has nothing to do with shooting unarmed teenagers.
The evidence included 120 jail phone calls made by Zimmerman while he was in the Seminole County Jail, and a sickening piece of testimony from a woman identified only as "Witness 9." The Orlando Sentinel reports that the woman told authorities that Zimmerman, two years older, molested her from the time she was six years old until she was sixteen. While no police reports were made nor were any charges filed, "Witness 9" added more specifics in her story, which are difficult to stomach:
"We would all lay in front of the TV" to watch movies, she said, "and he would reach under the blankets and try to do things. … I would try to push him off, but he was bigger and stronger and older," she said.
He touched her improperly, she said, and at least once, when she was 12, forced her to touch him.
The last sexual encounter, she said, happened when she visited Zimmerman's family in Lake Mary. He directed her to lay on a bed and began to massage her, she said.
"I just got up and I ran out of the house and I got in my car," she said, adding that Zimmerman "only chased me to the front door."
Zimmerman's defense attorney reportedly tried at the last minute to stop the release of her testimony, and it's obvious why. When asked why she came forward now, "Witness 9" simply said, "This is the first time in my life that I'm not afraid of him."
Update: More from the New York Times.

A wakeup call confirmed, I wonder what else is on the horizon.?
I wonder how many little girls he was watching?, Being a neighborhood watch dog, late at night.
You make a good point. Perhaps time will tell.......
Heh heh heh.
It is not clear if "witness 9" for the prosecution witnessed the entire or some part of the original incident OR simply came forward to declare a past incident when "she" realized Mr. Zimmerman was involved. I do not think the reporting of a molestation [if accurate] would have any bearing on the original incident/case. If this turns out to be an accurate and verifiable report, I would assume a separate investigation would begin. A molestation charge surfacing at this time could contaminate a potential pool of jurors and possibly inflame an already polarized public. If I were a defense attorney such an event might assist me in "my" request for a change of venue for my client.
Welcome to Florida, the laws are different here, lets just jump to conclusions before we have proof!
....He lies about his financial status, he tries to get his judge replaced after he's caught lying about it, then this happens. I can see clearly now where this will go. It IS the summertime, people go crazy in these temperatures...apparently he went so crazy that he thought he could get away with all this.
George Zimmerman may be all those things: An opportunist, a liar, a conman, a potential sex offender, a murderer , but he has one thing going his way:He used a gun so the NRA will protect him to the bitter end!
Oh and by the way this is a fight for civil rights and we as a nation better figure out just how far we are willing to go to defend our civil liberties;
Right to bear arms
right to privacy
right to fair & impartial trial
right to self defence
right to live peacefully in our homes without the fear of the law knocking.
This is a test to see just how free we really want to be, the world is watching.
it's easy to judge when you are one of the "Do Nothings" that sit and let life pass you by.
What about the civil liberties of Martin? He had the right to walk down the street armed with a bag of skittles and a can of ice tea. He had the right to be concerned for his safety because an unknown grown man was following him. He had the right to defend himself from a man who he believed would harm him.
Let it be decided in the courts.
