George Zimmerman at his June 29 bond hearing.
After the fast one he tried to pull with his wife got his previous $150,000 bond revoked and landed him back in jail, George Zimmerman may again walk free, and soon:
As for the part where the judge called him a name, despite the fact that Zimmerman and his wife were proven to have lied to him in court about having been indigent, Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester, Jr., merely hinted at future contempt proceedings while admonishing Zimmerman for "manipulating the system for his own benefit" while giving him a bond that his lawyer indicated he can cover:
Defense attorney Mark O'Mara said Friday that Zimmerman's legal defense fund had a balance of $211,000, more than enough to cover the 10-percent non-refundable portion charged by most bonding companies.
It is unclear when Zimmerman will produce that money for his bond, but we'll update this post if he is released today.
